I've recently switched to Feedbin (https://feedbin.com/). They have a free trial but afterwards it costs $5/month. Honestly that likely means they're not selling my data to advertisers. It's also open source.
Realistically though, the most important feature to me is the ability to export subscriptions via OPML. As long the service provides that (which Feedly does), then you won't risk losing anything.
